New Friendships in the Blind Pasture
The blind pasture has always been one of my favorite places on the farm, and I think you'll understand why after spending a little time with us here. ❤️
It's been about two weeks since we moved Pippi and Freckles up here, and I couldn't be prouder of how they're doing. When they first arrived, they were practically skin and bones. Now they're gaining weight, exploring their new home, and even making friends! At first, they wouldn't leave each other's side, but little by little, they're finding their confidence.
And then there's Willow. She used to be such a loner in the big pasture, and I could never figure out why she wasn't connecting with the others. But she was always standing by the gate to this pasture, so we finally decided to give it a try.
What a transformation! She and Oscar groom each other every day, Spartacus is absolutely smitten with her, and she seems happier than I've ever seen her.
Of course, she's also figured out that being the only one who can see comes with a few advantages, especially when everyone else is trying to find their food!
There's something really beautiful about watching these animals find where they belong. Sometimes they just need a chance to find their people. ❤️
